
The television we had our eyes set on was sold out when we came to the store. Pretty annoying. I’d already suspected it – it was the last one from an old line of Samsung LCD’s and when I was there last morning, the salesman looked iffy as to whether it would still be there when we got back at night.
Oh well. We ended up with and LG 37lg5000 instead. 37″, full HD, 5ms responsetime. Got the cable for the XBOX and a discount as a package deal. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the thing. In all honesty, when it [ ... ]

Ok, in our quest for a new television we’ve been bombarded with jargon. LCD, plasma, progressive, interlaced, HD-ready, Full HD, widescreen, resolutions, HDMI, VGA to name a few. I think we’ve settled on a 37″ 720P Samsung which is HD-ready, but apparently LG has quite good screens as well and we just might have to take a look at the screens and how they perform at the local Mediamarkt tonight.
While I was at it, I’ve kicked out KPN’s Digitenne which sucked monkeyballs anyway, and went back to Casema (boo! hiss!). They do deliver digital tv via cable though, which should [ ... ]
