Interlude

Whooh. I’ve gotten the hang of skiing again truly. Last time I really went skiing was somewhere in 2001, after that I had a short stint in 2006 in Pertisau. Weekend

Funny how you can plan a weekend, which then follows a completely different path than you’d expected. Saturday we’d planned to participate in the Qurius motorcycle tour, Arno as designated driver and me as SIBW (Sit-in-backseat-wifey). We have a busy schedule today: first the inoculations of course, this afternoon Arno has to fit his suit and I have to pick up my veil, then it’s [ ... ]

Phonecalls, visits and a new television

Ok, in our quest for a new television we’ve been bombarded with jargon. LCD, plasma, progressive, interlaced, HD-ready, Full HD, widescreen, resolutions, HDMI, VGA to name a few. I think we’ve settled on a 37″ 720P Samsung which is HD-ready, but apparently LG has quite good screens as well and we just might have to take a look at the screens and how they perform at the local Mediamarkt tonight. While I was at it, I’ve kicked out KPN’s Digitenne which sucked monkeyballs anyway, and went back to Casema (boo! hiss!). They do deliver digital tv via cable though, which should [ ... ]
