Leave it up to the frickin’ provider that hosts the White Tower to restore the WHOLE FUCKING DATABASE instead of a couple of tables like I asked. So now I am stuck with a forum that has posts up until the 16th of november. Thanks iPowerweb for being a) so speedy (12 days to handle a restore request??!!) and b) so thorough without warning upfront.

I have a backup of the phpbb boards that’s two days old I think. At home though, can’t put it back right now. At least it is better than loosing 12 days’ worth of posts. And I am secretly hoping Russ made one last night. Pretty please?

It gets even better. Russ’ last file is corrupt. Great. The one I have is from the 25th. And I can’t put it back because of the fucking max_query cap that has been killing us all along. So now I have to ftp the backup file to the server, mail the ISP, ask if they can put that backup back – which will take yet another 12 hours at minimum. Argh. I want those boards to be up again dammit.
