WoW annoyances

Trying to install the phpbb forum for the new shayol ghul site. There is nothing more annoying than a server going down in the middle of something like that. Can’t reach the db, can’t even ftp. So, it seems I have to let it wait until tomorrow. Been playing WoW today – up until a certain point I was having much fun but then I got an invite for a party to Gnomeregan which in the end proved to be kind of frustrating. Been at it 4,5 hours – and didn’t even get a nice drop for it. The party was ok (good warrior) save for the lvl 34 druid who couldn’t make up his mind whether he wanted to tank or not. Me: So, who’s doing what? Druid: I heal Me: ok, I’ll do secondary healing and tanking. So we play … and there goes...

Little snowflakes falling

It is snowing insanely over here. The view from our attic window is breathtaking: snowy fields in an orange-bluish twilight, cows scattered all over the place tucked away safely in their winter coat and twinkling lights in the distance. Father Winter has arrived indeed and I do not envy anyone who needs to get out in this weather. They also predicted heavy sleet for this evening, the roads will be slippery as hell. Too bad Christmas has already passed, but then again, I am in my christmas vacation so heh, no complaints there. I just hope the weather will be a little better tomorrow when we venture out to go to Houten. Well. Off to a hot bath I am!

It’s all so quiet … shhh … shhh …

Hah. Just writing for the sake of it. I love my new loglook! Whohoo! Anyhow – I also love having a couple of days off. I really feel as if I am winding down and replenishing myself for the new year. Saturday evening we will be going to Ferry’s for the Old Year’s party. Not many pple will be around I think – it is going to be a quiet party and I like it just fine that way. All are good friends so it will be cozy. I got a big bottle of very good champagne from Seneca which will definately accompany me. Today consists of not doing much. I am preparing to get ready for some work on the Shayol Ghul boards – will probably move the entire site and forums to their new home on our new webspace so we can open it up in January. Other than that...

New Winter Theme

I finally had some time to act upon an idea that has been in my mind for a while. I am not sure whether I like it completely yet, but it is good enough to show to the world I think. As usual, not everything works yet. It is only Mozilla compliant, IE I have yet to work on as soon as I’ve downloaded the newest version. Archives are not there yet, links etc, but it is functional enough to at least let me post and let you comment Anyhow, I’d love some feedback. Specially on the font color – is this readable at all? ————- Update ————— As far as I have been able to discern, the design works in IE now as well. If anyone experiences problems, please let me know? Thanks.
