Busy week
It seems like an awful long while that I have written on here. I’ve been quite busy I must say. The move went fine, more or less, if you don’t count the blahblahing of collegues who of course always have something to blahblah about *shrugs*. It did make me put in eleven hours a day on monday and tuesday though. I was goddamn tired when wednesday came around.
Even the weekend before had been quite busy: on friday I went to Hoorn to visit Lannie and have the end-of-year party. It was awsome, a bit rowdy at the end though. We all had our chance of playing our favorite song. In the end, I’d chosen the Requiem for a Dream overture, and it was damn fitting. Kel and I drank two bottles of Brut de Peche and some other stuff, Breezers and Hoegaarden en went to bed around three, we talked till half past three or so. The guys stayed up and got positively drunk
They messed up the living room, but cleaned it up too
I drove home early in the morning, dropping Marcel off in the process, then crashed into bed until half past 10, got up again, went to work (on a Saturday, yeah, I know *groan*) and then had IJdo and Vincent over in the evening. From then on, the entire weekend was a LOTR marathon *g*.
We went to LOTRIII on sunday evening, and hot damn, I thought it was even better than the first two installments. The fact that the trilogy is over now filled me with a little sadness though. I mean, for three years in a row we anticipated another great movie around christmas time, and now it’s finished. I do want to get me the extended version, which is bound to come. And when I’ve watched that one, the chapter LOTR will be closed completely *mopes*. It really makes me a little sad.
Christmas was a blast, the first day we went to my parents and had a really nice and comfy day. I was supposed to cook The Man and me a quite sumptuous dinner in the evening, but we were so full already that we decided to skip it and simply eat some tomato soup instead. Boxing day we spent with The Man’s parents, my parents, his sister and little Stein. The Man’s mom had cooked a wonderful buffet with all kinds of food, fish, meat, salades…you name it.
And tonight I finally did cook that dinner for me and The Man: carpaccio, Ossobuco, and tiramisu as desert. Made it all myself! And if I may say so…twas good! Hehehe. We watched Finding Nemo on divx and had a good time. It’s so good to have him around for a longer stretch of time. Tomorrow evening he goes home, cause he has to work on monday and tuesday (I still have the days off) but on wednesday he’ll be back, and that evening we will be celebrating old-year’s-eve at L.’s. Lots of people are coming and we have ordered quite an extensive packet of fireworks. I am really really looking forward to that one!
another thing I still have to do: write my end-of-year reflection. Will do that somewhere tomorrow I think.

You never know, there is talk of Peter Jackson making the Hobbit after he’s done shooting King Kong and even some more shots for the extended DVD version of RotK apparently!!
Btw, were there some nice pictures from last week?
