I am so going to buy me a new car. Another month travelling like this and I’ll have wracked nerves. It took me 90 minutes to get from Zoetermeer to Rijswijk. A trip I normally take by car…and which costs me 10 minutes. Of course the first train left a second before I made it on the platform, and the second obliged me to wait for 17 minutes. Then, I had to make a transit on The Hague Central, which cost me another wait of approximately 15 minutes. And then I had to wait in the freaking cold for the [ ... ]

Well, I’m back! Tired and with a runny nose, and a sore throat, but content nonetheless. Our flight yesterday was one of the fastest ever, 35 minutes and we were in Amsterdam again. The Man joked with one of the flight attendants that they must have broken a record.
Before we left yesterday, we visited the British Museum. We had wanted to go sightseeing but since it was raining – yes, this is London, remember – we skipped that and went somewhere where we could go inside.
Wow. What a museum. If you pass the fact that most of the stuff got [ ... ]

“The Raelians eventually hope to develop adult clones into which humans could transfer their brains, Rael said. ”
Uh? What’s up with that? Sounds like the Invasion of the Bodysnatchers to me. I think this Raelian Cult with it’s
Clonaid has gone totally off the deep end.
Of course it was only a matter of time before this happened. I mean, we’ve been experimenting with cloning for a long time now. The knowledge lay out there, just waiting to be picked up by a nut. On the other hand, I don’t think there is proof yet they are actually telling [ ... ]

Whoa. London is cool…London is EXPENSIVE! I don’t wanna know what I spent today heh.
The hotel is nice, a little stuffy and small…and very thin walls but eh, what can you want right.
Bayswater is very nice, lotsa atmosphere and nice little restaurants and shops. Tomorrow we’ll prolly go see Covent Garden and all the other big shops….Sunday we’ll be the typical tourists
Aaaanyway, I think we’re heading back now to the hotel cause we are trying to digest half a cow (whoa, American food….the steaks come only in super or giant size it seems *grins*) and that kind of [ ... ]

Saw The Two Towers yesterday. One word: wow. This was the one book in the whole trilogy which I thought would be impossible to capture on film. By the way, this little piece contains spoilers, so if you haven’t seen it yet, by all means, do not read on.
The opening scene is overwhelming. I sat there with my jaw dropped down…the one scene I was positive Peter Jackson wouldn’t risk was exactly the one he opened with: Gandalf’s fight with the Balrog. Breathtaking…and so accurate. The Battle at Helmsdeep…wow….a friend of mine said it just right: even though it is [ ... ]
